Panicum virgatum 'Apache Rose'
Common name Switch Grass.
A sturdy upright grass with grey green leaves and rose coloured flower panicles. The tips of the leaves are flushed with hints of rosy-red in late summer. The leaves will then turn yellow all over in late autumn before turning a buff brown for the winter.
Height 1.2 m. Spread 75 cm.
Grow in sun and any reasonable soil.
Cut back to the ground in early spring before new growth appears.
Flower heads can be used in fresh or dried flower arrangements.
Supplied as a garden ready plant in a 9x9x10 cm pot.
