The Giant Himalayan Lily
One for the plantsman who loves to grow a young plant to maturity and will be happily rewarded with large trumpet shaped white flowers that have a green tinge and strong scent.
A choice bulbous perennial with bronze-purple stems, leaves and young shoots. The young bulbs take several years to reach maturity and die after flowering, leaving numerous offsets.
Height 1.5m in flower. Leaf spread 60cm.
Grow in cool partial shade in fertile well drained soil.
Seed heads can be cut for drying and used in arrangements.
Sold as a 3 year old potted bulb raised by us from seed.
