Helianthus salicifolius

I bought this plant at the end of autumn, so it had been cut back for winter and I can't comment on the condition of its foliage, etc. However, the root system was super-healthy, almost bursting out of its pot. I've potted it on into a marginally larger pot and will do so again once it's filled it. From the diameter of the cut stem, it's a strong grower. I will need to lime the soil before planting, as I'm on a neutral to acid soil here. Looking forward to seeing it flourish next year!

I was so pleased to find this gem - it's quite hard to come by. The plant was reasonably priced,and when it arrived,I was delighted with the quality. Since I planted it,I'm happy to report that it's growing beautifully sturdy and strong.
