Helianthus scalicifolius  

Commonly know as the Willow Leaved Sunflower

A tall clump forming perennial with slightly hairy green leaves. Golden yellow flowers with brown centers from mid summer. Grown for its foliage and improves when chopped back hard at the end of May to promote shorter growth.

Height 2.5m. Spread 90cm.

Grow in sun and fertile well drained soil

Attractive to bees.

Supplied as a garden ready plant in a 9x9x10 cm pot.

I was so pleased to find this gem - it's quite hard to come by. The plant was reasonably priced,and when it arrived,I was delighted with the quality. Since I planted it,I'm happy to report that it's growing beautifully sturdy and strong.

Great little plants with strong root systems, unlike many online plant sellers who supply weak poorly rooted plants in 9cm pots, so I'm very pleased with these willow leaved sunflowers. Very good value too. Thank you.
